Professional Background

Greetings,

Jose’s decade-long multicultural integration has proven invaluable in his work with individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds. Pursuing a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology (MACP) degree from Yorkville University has significantly enhanced his understanding of psychological principles and behavioral interventions. With a background as a professional athlete, Jose has successfully coached and supported both youth and adults in competitive sports environments. Additionally, his postgraduate degree in business administration, coupled with experience in the manufacturing sector, has provided him with insights into managing stressors and navigating life’s challenges.

Philosophy of Practice

As a therapist, my primary objective is to inspire, motivate, and guide you in discovering your inner self and accessing your inner wisdom and energy. I firmly believe in Eleanor Roosevelt’s words, “With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts,” emphasizing the transformative power of embracing one’s true self for positive mental health. Whether you’re grappling with negative thoughts, lack of motivation, anxiety, depression, career transitions, or sports-related stress, I am here to listen and support you.

What Sets Me Apart:
I am deeply passionate about helping individuals achieve their goals and excel in various aspects of life. Grounded in evidence-based techniques such as solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and humanistic therapies, my approach aims to motivate, challenge, and empower you to create a personalized plan for growth and healing. In our collaborative journey, you can expect to be heard in a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space.
