Adriana Venir is a passionate and dedicated counsellor, currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Guelph-Humber, complemented by a diploma in Research Analysis. Adriana’s academic journey has equipped her with a solid foundation in understanding the complexities of human behavior, mental health, and the importance of research in counselling practices.
Motivated by a strong passion for helping others, Adriana’s path to counselling was inspired by her interest in human behavior and her dedication to supporting individuals on their journey toward mental well-being. Her approach is grounded in empathy, active listening, and a firm belief in the ability of each person to grow and heal.

With a focus on building trusting relationships and empowering clients, I am committed to helping individuals navigate life’s difficulties, improve their mental health, and develop coping strategies to lead fulfilling lives. I am excited to continue expanding my knowledge and skills to provide the highest level of care to those seeking support.
In my practice, I utilize various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SBFT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Strength-Based Therapy. My approach to therapy is grounded in a client-centered philosophy, where each person’s unique experiences and needs are respected. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space for clients, where they can explore their challenges, discover their strengths, and work toward positive change.
I am deeply passionate about mental health advocacy and strive to be a reliable source of support for individuals, offering a shoulder to lean on when they need it most. I am committed to working with clients in a way that best suits their needs, drawing from a variety of therapeutic modalities to ensure the most effective and empowering experience possible. I value the diverse backgrounds of each client and integrate cultural competence into my practice. Above all, I am passionate about empowering clients to reach their goals. I believe in providing the tools, guidance, and encouragement needed to help individuals take ownership of their mental health journey.
