Aimen Haider, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in Mississauga
Anxiety, burnout, and emotional overwhelm can feel confusing — therapy can help you understand what’s happening and give you practical tools to move forward.
Aimen combines insight, structure, and cultural awareness to provide grounded and collaborative care. She supports individuals who want more than emotional validation, offering clarity, direction, and practical strategies to make everyday life more manageable. Her practice addresses the complex intersection of neurodiversity and mental health, helping clients navigate ADHD-related executive functioning challenges alongside anxiety and depression.
She also works with individuals and families experiencing trauma, abuse, and relationship or family conflict. For professionals and students, Aimen provides specialized support for occupational wellness, including managing workplace burnout, compassion fatigue, and high-pressure academic stress. Whether you are seeking therapy to process life transitions or to build stronger emotional regulation skills, Aimen helps clients identify deep-seated patterns and develop resilience for sustainable change.
Located at Inner Wellness Psychotherapy in Mississauga, Aimen offers both in person and virtual therapy across Ontario, ensuring accessible and flexible mental health care.
Aimen’s therapeutic approach in Mississauga is rooted in the belief that healing occurs when we understand the “why” behind our patterns. She practices an integrative model of care, blending the structured techniques of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with the deep emotional work of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Attachment Based Family Therapy (ABFT). This allows her to support clients in both managing immediate symptoms and addressing the root causes of their distress.
By incorporating Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Self Compassion Based Therapy, Aimen helps clients move away from self-criticism toward a place of curiosity and self-understanding. She draws on psychodynamic insights and narrative therapy to help you explore how your history shapes your present, while utilizing Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and strength-based therapy to build concrete, real world coping skills.
In sessions, Aimen creates a person centered and trauma focused environment where you can safely process difficult experiences. Whether you are learning to regulate your nervous system, setting healthy boundaries in relationships, or navigating the pressures of your career, therapy is paced to your readiness and guided by goals we establish together.
Aimen Haider is registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), meaning she is authorized to practice psychotherapy in Ontario under supervision while completing final registration requirements.
She holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a BA (Honours) in Psychology with a minor in Rehabilitation Services from York University.
As a culturally sensitive and compassionate therapist, I am honoured to support individuals from diverse backgrounds as they navigate life’s most difficult chapters. I believe that therapy is most effective when it feels like a partnership, an inclusive, affirming space where you can show up exactly as you are, without the weight of judgment. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working alongside many different communities, helping them make sense of the overwhelming impact of anxiety, depression, and significant life transitions.
My work is deeply rooted in the belief that every person possesses an inherent capacity for healing and self-understanding. I understand that the decision to begin therapy is a significant step, and my goal is to make that transition feel as safe and supportive as possible. Whether you are navigating the heavy fog of burnout, the complexities of family conflict, or the unique pressures of academic life, I am here to help you reconnect with your own resilience and develop the practical strategies you need to feel more steady in your daily life.
Your Partner in Safety, Healing, Growth, and Balance.
