Same Day, Zero Wait List

Support When You Need It.

Immediate Mental Health Support Without the Wait

In Ontario, the average wait for publicly funded counselling can stretch for months. But distress doesn't schedule itself. Walk-in therapy exists for the moment when something breaks open and you need to talk to someone today. At Inner Wellness Psychotherapy, every walk-in appointment is a full 50-minute session with a Registered Psychotherapist — not a triage call or an intake form. We focus on what's most pressing right now and help you leave with something practical to hold onto. Come once, or use it as a doorway into ongoing care. There's no commitment and no referral required.

Single-Session Model

What Is Walk-In Therapy?

Walk-in therapy is a single-session model of counselling designed to deliver meaningful support in one appointment. Instead of assessment, wait lists, and a treatment plan spread over months, the therapist works with you on the one thing that matters most today.

Research on single-session therapy shows that a large proportion of clients report significant relief after just one well-structured session — because focused, timely help at the moment of need is often more effective than delayed help.

Our walk-in sessions are available in-person in Mississauga and virtually across Ontario, seven days a week, including evenings and weekends.

WHO IT HELPS

When Should You Use Walk-In ? Therapy

You don't need a diagnosis to deserve support. These are the moments our Mississauga clients most often walk in for.

Sudden Crisis or Overwhelm

A panic attack, a difficult diagnosis, or a day that suddenly became too much to carry alone.

Relationship or Family Conflict

A breakup, separation, or argument you need to talk through before it settles into resentment.

Grief & Sudden Loss

The loss of a loved one, a pet, or a life you had planned — support without waiting weeks.

Work Stress & Burnout

Workplace conflict, job loss, or exhaustion that has reached a breaking point.

Waiting for Ongoing Therapy

Bridge support while you're on a wait list elsewhere, so you're not left without help.

Trying Therapy for the First Time

Not ready to commit? A single session lets you experience therapy with no long-term obligation.

Direct Path to Ongoing Care

A Focused Approach to Therapy

Your therapist begins by asking what brought you in today — not your whole history. Together you identify one clear focus, work through it using trauma-informed and nervous-system-based approaches, and build a short, realistic plan for the days ahead.

If deeper work would help, we’ll explain your options — EMDR, Polyvagal, Somatic, or group therapy — and can book your next appointment before you leave. There’s never any pressure to continue.

  • In an Emergency

Walk-in therapy is not emergency care. If you are in immediate danger or having thoughts of suicide, call 911, go to your nearest emergency department, or call or text 988 — the Suicide Crisis Helpline, available 24/7 across Canada.
